Assistant Police Chief Franklin Hayes told the outlet investigators sent in underage decoys for purchases after receiving complaints the business was selling to minors.

Investigators also found the smoke shop was selling marijuana products, despite not holding a dispensary license.

"If you operate a business irresponsibly and disregard the privilege that it is to open a business here in the city of Detroit, we're coming to see you," Hayes told the outlet.

Parents in the area told WXYZ they are relieved by the closure.

"That's a good thing that they shut it down because I have a child and I would be devastated. I would be heartbroken to find out that they were selling something like that to my kid, you know," one parent told the news station.
