14-Year-Old Shot, Killed In Detroit: Police

Police are asking for help as they have not made an arrest.

DETROIT — Police are asking for help after a 14-year-old was shot and killed in Detroit early Sunday morning.

The shooting happened at 1:45 a.m. in the 7300 block of Brace Street, near the Southfield Freeway, according to police.

The child was taken to a hospital, where they later died, according to police.

Detroit Police didn't release a name, age or gender for the victim.

Police have not yet made an arrest.

They asked anyone with information to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP, contact Detroit Rewards TV or call the Detroit Police Department's Homicide Unit at 313-596-2260.

Detroit Rewards TV is offering a $5,000 reward for information about the shooting.
