A new ranking found Detroit is one of the best cities to walk your dog.
Redfin and Rover ranked the top 107 U.S. cities for taking your furry friend on a walk around town.
The study used what it calls a "walk score," which looked at how easy it is to reach nearby amenities without getting in a vehicle.
Rover also collected data for the top dog breed, as well as the popular trending breed for each city.
Detroit came in at No. 32 with a walk score of 51.1. The study found the city's top dog breed is the German Shepherd, while the German Shorthaired Pointer was the city's trending breed.
"Convenient access to amenities and pedestrian friendly sidewalks and paths can make everyday life easier for everyone in the household, including the dog," Redfin Principal Economist Sheharyar Bokhari said. "For dog owners, being able to go outside and take their dog for a walk can be a meaningful part of deciding where to live. A city that makes it convenient to give dogs more exercise can also make it easier for owners to meet their neighbors and feel connected to their community."
