Chick-fil-A is opening two new Detroit-area restaurants next month.
The Great Lakes Crossing restaurant, located at 4790 S. Baldwin Road in Orion Township, will open Thursday, Nov. 5.
The new restaurant is locally owned and operated by Lauren Sinclair, a Pontiac native with deep roots in metro Detroit.
"I grew up just a few miles away in Pontiac, and Great Lakes Crossing holds so many memories for me, from trick-or-treating here as a kid to shopping for my prom dress," Sinclair said. "To now come home, build a team and create a place where local families feel welcomed and cared for is truly special."
Chick-fil-A is also opening a new restaurant along Eight Mile Road near Woodward Avenue in Detroit.
That restaurant is locally owned and operated by Detroit native Ken Wright.
"Detroit raised me, so I always knew that if I had the opportunity to become a local Owner-Operator, I wanted it to be here," Wright said. "It means so much to invest in the community that invested in me. I especially want this restaurant to be a place where young people can learn, grow and be exposed to the many paths their futures can take."
Chick-fil-A is best known for its chicken sandwiches, waffle fries and signature Chick-fil-A dipping sauce.
Both restaurants will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The new Great Lakes Crossing restaurant will offer dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, mobile pick-up, and third-party delivery.
