Awards contest open to Greater Detroit small businesses

Citizens Bank Small Business Community Champion Awards taking applications until March 1

The Citizens Bank Small Business Community Champion Award gives small business owners an opportunity to invest in their businesses to expand programs or services that address a community need. Winners will be selected in the Greater Detroit, Greater Boston, Greater Philadelphia and Greater Pittsburgh areas this May. A $20,000 prize and $10,000 prize will be awarded in each market.

Entries will be taking through March 1 at 5 p.m. To enter, submit 150 words about how your business strengthens the community and how investing in your business would support both business growth and your community. Up to two photos can be submitted with your entry. Details and official rules are on the contest website: https://www.citizensbank.com/BusinessChampion

The two winners for each market will be announced on or about April 22.
