Barricaded Gunman Dies From Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound: Police

Police said a man shot himself after barricading himself in a home on Detroit's westside.

DETROIT — A man wanted in a homicide investigation died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a home on Detroit's westside, police said.

Police locked down the area of Tuller Street and Ewald Circle on Friday, including I-96 and the Davison ramps, as the man barricaded himself in the home, police said.

The situation ended when police entered the home and found the man suffering from a self-inflicted gun wound, which he later died from.

Detroit Police did not reveal any other details on the man or the investigation.
