Barry Sanders, Storied Lions RB, Tests Positive For COVID-19
The legendary Lions running back had a distinguished career that included getting inducted into the NFL hall of fame.

"Despite being double vaccinated, wearing a mask, and taking all the precautions I could... I tested positive for COVID," Sanders wrote. "I don't have any symptoms, but am staying in until I get the green light from the Docs."
The team quickly replied "Get well. We'll see you soon." Sanders also said he will be at the Lions home opener against the 49ers on Sep. 12.

Sanders is the Lions all-time leading rusher and currently fourth in NFL history. He played 10 seasons for the Lions before abruptly retiring after a contract dispute with the team following the 1998 season.
He is also one of eight running backs to rush for 2,000 in a season and was inducted into the pro football hall of fame in 2004.
