Brilliant Detroit selected to national anti-poverty community

The Detroit-based nonprofit to participate in training and mentorship program alongside 11 other social entrepreneur-led organizations

Brilliant Detroit is proud to announce it has been selected to join Stand Together Foundation’s growing national network of more than 150 highly effective organizations working to break the cycle of poverty across America.

Brilliant Detroit and 11 other social entrepreneur-led nonprofit organizations comprise the tenth national cohort to participate in Stand Together Foundation’s Catalyst Program, which offers nonprofit leaders coaching in organizational and leadership development along with peer networking opportunities to help their transformative organizations grow and scale.

“We are thrilled to be part of the newest Catalyst Program, which will provide six months of intensive support to help us scale our efforts at Brilliant Detroit,” said Cindy Eggleton, co-founder and CEO of Brilliant Detroit. “We are amongst an amazing group for this cohort and look forward to getting started.”

The Stand Together Foundation Catalyst Program brings together nonprofit organizations with demonstrated success breaking barriers so that all people can realize their potential. Through its highly selective training and mentorship program, Stand Together Foundation works with Catalyst partners to support, strengthen, and scale their work across six issue areas: Addiction, Mental Health and Trauma; Economic Mobility; Homelessness; Criminal Justice; Workforce Development; and Youth.

“The process of selecting each new group of Catalyst Program participants is an exciting reminder of how impactful social entrepreneurs are,” said Evan Feinberg, executive director of Stand Together Foundation. “Our 12 newest partners were selected because they’re already doing impressive work to help individuals harness their talents and abilities, and we are thrilled to help them build a strong foundation for expanding their impact.”

Stand Together Foundation’s newest cohort joins 155 existing Stand Together Foundation Catalysts and will kick off their six-month program journey on February 11. In addition to Brilliant Detroit, selected organizations include social entrepreneur-led nonprofits across six issue areas: Addiction Recovery, Mental Health & Trauma; Criminal Justice; Economic Mobility; Youth; Homelessness; and Workforce Development.
