Cabrini Clinic to hold 19th annual Gathering of Friends event
Sept. 26 event to support clinic operations

St. Frances Cabrini Clinic, the oldest free walk-in health clinic in the United States, will hold its 19th annual fundraiser to support the clinic's ongoing commitment to providing quality health care to those in need.
The event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26 aboard the Ovation Yacht, docked at the Detroit Port Authority at 130 E. Atwater St. in Detroit. Yacht boarding begins at 5:30 p.m. with departure at 6 p.m. and returns to the dock at 8:30 p.m. The evening includes dinner and dancing to the live music of Saxophonist Kendrel Cabarrus. Keynote speaker will be Mike Slubowski, FACHE, FACMPE, president and CEO, Trinity Health.
"I am honored to be a part of the Gathering of Friends event supporting the Cabrini Clinic, whose caring staff has provided much-needed access to health services to members of our community for almost 70 years," said Slubowski.

This year's Platinum Sponsor is John D. and Jean E. Dinan Foundation, while Gold Sponsors are Trinity Health Michigan, Michigan Health and Hospital Association, Thomas and Carol Cracchiolo Foundation and Peter J. and Constance M. Cracchiolo Foundation.
Affiliated with the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, the clinic is located in the Corktown neighborhood in Detroit and operated by Trinity Health, one of the leading Catholic Health systems in the U.S., headquartered in Livonia. The clinic treats roughly 250 low -income and uninsured patients a month, relying on 70 volunteers from local hospitals, including primary care physicians, pharmacists, psychiatrists, podiatrists, and a gynecologist. Many providers have served at the clinic for more than 30 years.

"We are thankful to the many people and organizations who have supported the clinic over the years, enabling us to continue to provide quality health care to those who are experiencing poverty and serve as an anchor in this community," said Msgr. Charles Kosanke, pastor of Most Holy Trinity Parish.
