CMSC presents Schubert & Waghalter

Chamber Music at the Scarab Club is excited to present Schubert & Waghalter, the final concert of its 27th season upstairs in the lounge gallery of The Scarab Club. The program features Alaina Brown singing Franz Schubert’s evocative Shepherd on the Rock along with works by H. T. Burleigh, Hall Johnson and Margaret Bonds. Also, Lillian Scheirich (Concertmaster of the Windsor Symphony) and pianist Mary Siciliano are thrilled to perform composer/conductor Ignatz Waghalter’s expressive Violin Sonata. Adding to the significance of this performance, Waghalter’s grandson, David Green, will join us to share personal reflections about his grandfather. Reception to follow.
