METRO DETROIT — After a sunny and dry start to Wednesday morning, clouds are expected to roll in through the afternoon with a slight chance of showers, the National Weather Service said.

Most Metro Detroit residents woke up to temperatures just below freezing, but highs are expected to reach the mid-40s by Wednesday afternoon.

Thursday will remain chilly under clear skies, but highs will reach the upper 40s.

It will warm back up Friday under mostly sunny and clear skies, where highs are expected to reach the 50s.

The weekend looks dry and could even be warmer with a high near 60 degrees on Sunday.
