Construction On Every Metro Detroit Freeway This Weekend

METRO DETROIT — Parts of every major freeway in Metro Detroit will be under construction this weekend, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Southbound I-75 will be closed in between Square Lake Road and 8 Mile Road, while northbound I-75 will close from 8 Mile Road to 14 Mile Road. Both closures will include all on/off ramps from Friday at 11:00 p.m. to Monday 5:00 a.m.

Both directions of I-94 will close from Gratiot to I-75, which includes all on/off ramps from Friday at 11:00 p.m. to Monday 5:00 a.m.

Both directions of the I-696 Ramp to I-75 will also close this weekend from Friday 9:00 p.m. to Monday 5:00 a.m.

• SB I-75, M-59 to Square Lake, One lane open, Friday 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• NB I-75, 7 Mile to 8 Mile, one lane open, Friday 9:00 p.m. to Monday 5:00 a.m.
• NB/SB I-75 ramps closed to EB I-94, Friday 8 p.m. to Monday 5:00 a.m.

• NB I-275, Eureka to 5 Mile, one lane open, Friday 7:00 p.m. to Sunday 6:00 a.m. (current construction Will Carleton to Eureka also has 1 lane open, so, NB I-275, Will Carleton to 5 Mile, one lane open).
• EB/WB Will Carleton ramp closed to NB I-275, Saturday 6:00 a.m. to Sunday 6:00 p.m.

• WB I-696 ramp closed to M-3/Gratiot, Saturday 7 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• WB I-696 at Hoover, two lanes open intermittently, Friday 10:00 p.m. to Saturday 3:00 a.m. and Monday 10:00 p.m. to Tuesday 3:00 a.m.
