Continental Mills Recalls Pancake Mix Sold At MI Kroger, Walmart

Kroger and Great Value pancake and waffle mixes have been recalled by Continental Mills because of foreign contamination.

MICHIGAN — Continental Mills recalled some pancake and waffle mixes that were sold in Michigan Kroger and Walmart stores because 0f potential foreign contamination, the Food and Drug Administration said.

Great Value Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix was recalled after officials found a "limited amount" of fragments in the products from a cable used to clear the processing line. However, consumers have not reported any foreign contaminants or any injuries from the products, according to the recall posting.

The recalled products include the following information on the packaging:

  • UPC 078742370828
  • Lot code KX2063 and KX2064
  • Best By Date of Sept. 1, 2023 and Sept. 2, 2023

The Great Value products were distributed nationally, while the Kroger mixes were in stores located in Michigan as well as Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.

The FDA and Continental Mills urged customers who have purchased either product under the recall to either dispose of the product or return it to the store for a replacement or refund.
