Detroit Child Shot To Death During Sleepover, 2 Arrested: Police
Two people have been arrested after police say the 11-year-old girl was shot to death in her sleep.
DETROIT — Two people were arrested after an 11-year-old girl was shot to death in a Detroit home Saturday night, police said.
The child was attending a sleepover at a home in the 20200 block of Goulburn when someone fired numerous shots into the house at 10:15 p.m., fatally striking the child, who was sleeping, police said.
Five other children also were in the home, along with two adults, police said.

Officials were still investigating the shooting to determine if the house was targeted or was caught in a crossfire, police said.
"We don't have a whole lot other than another child from our city being shot, this one fatally, due to some adult nonsense obviously that she has nothing to do with," Detroit Police Chief James White said during a news conference about the shooting Saturday.

Officials did not release the identity of the child or the shooting suspects.
