Detroit Drag Racer Arrested After Police Chase: MSP
Prosecutors are reviewing the case for charges.
DETROIT — A drag racer was arrested Sunday after fleeing police in Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.
Troopers tried stopping a car that was drag racing in the area of westbound Interstate 96 and Joy Road at 12:05 a.m. Sunday, according to Michigan State Police.
The driver sped away, but the 20-year-old Detroit man was eventually arrested by troopers after pulling into a garage, according to Michigan State Police.

"As the weather gets warmer, we start to see reckless driving pick up," Michigan State Police Lt. Mike Shaw said. "We are continuing to work with our local partners to make sure those drivers who put our community at risk are located and held accountable."
