DETROIT — The Detroit Lions are putting on a drone light show above Ford Field on Saturday evening, just one day before the team's first NFC Championship game since January 1992.

The show was originally planned for Friday evening, but it was moved to Saturday due to foggy weather.

The show starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be visible 400 feet above Ford Field and face downtown. Officials asked fans attending the show to stay southeast of Madison Street. The show is free.

Saturday evening in Detroit will be cloudy, but rain should hold off until after midnight, according to the National Weather Service.

The Lions will play the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara, Calif., at 6:30 p.m. Sunday on Fox. The winner will go to the Super Bowl. The Lions are one of four NFL teams to have never played in the Super Bowl. The Lions last championship was in 1957, before the Super Bowl era.
