Detroit Man Arraigned In Sexual Assault Of 78-Year-Old Woman: Cops
Dazaun Leonard-Davaugh Johnson was arraigned in 36th District Court on Saturday and given a $5,000 cash/surety bond.

DETROIT — A Detroit man was arraigned Saturday after police said he broke into a home and sexually assaulted a 78-year-old woman, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced.
Dazaun Leonard-Davaugh Johnson, 30, was charged with one count each of first-degree home invasion and assault with intent to commit sexual penetration, officials announced.
Johnson was arraigned in 36th District Court on Saturday and given a $5,000 cash/surety bond. His next court date is set for July 11 at 8: 30 a.m.

If convicted, Johnson faces up to 20 years in prison for the home invasion charge and up to ten years for the assault charge.
Johnson turned himself into authorities on Thursday, officials said.

On June 20, police said Johnson broke into the 78-year-old woman's house on the 5800 block of Lodewyck near Chandler Park Drive and Moross Street in Detroit.
The woman began yelling at Johnson before he physically knocked her down to the floor and pulled off her pants, police said.
Johnson then put his body on top of hers, before he ran away from the home, police said.
