Those injured in the shooting are expected to be ok, prosecutors said.

DETROIT— A Detroit man is facing charges after prosecutors said he shot five people outside a night club back in March.

All five men injured in the shooting were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.

Damond Lamont Hunter, 32, was charged with five counts of assault with intent to murder, five counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, one count of felon in possession of a firearm and 11 felony firearm violations. He was placed in jail on a $5 million bond. His next court date was scheduled for April 19.

Prosecutors said Hunter got into an argument that escalated into a fight with a group of people outside a night club in the 8200 block of West Chicago at 2:44 a.m. on March 29. Prosecutors said Hunter then pulled out a handgun and shot five Detroit men, ages 33, 33, 42, 45, and 48.

Those injured in the shooting are expected to be ok, prosecutors said.

Hunter was arrested in connection with the shooting on April 10 at Detroit Metro Airport, prosecutors said.

"I have seen countless arguments escalate into serious shooting incidents over the most trivial things," Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said. "Any time a weapon is introduced, it never ends well. Most times, tragically. We must stop escalating the violence into violence. In this case, the only good thing that came out of it is that no one died."
