- Detroit zoning board upholds rejection for new asphalt mixing facility. The company was going to be based on the city's northwest side. It was also expected to take up 25 acres of a 43-acre site. (Detroit News)
- Detroit residents can get dogs spayed or neutered at free event. The three-day event will take place at the Lasky Recreation Center 13200 Fenelon St. The BISSELL Pet Foundation aims to sterilize 120 dogs. (Detroit Free Press)
- Survey: Majority of Detroiters report improved and stable finances compared to last year. 72 percent of Detroit residents say their financial situation has stabilized or improved compared to a year ago, and there is evidence stimulus checks and the expanded Child Tax Credit played a role in reducing economic hardship.
