Jackie Taylor Holsten, Founder & Chair of the Board of HHCD (Holsten Human Capital Development), not-for-profit, was pleased to honor architect Doug Farr, of Farr with HHCD’s “Community Sustainability Award” for his efforts in aiding the growth of HHCD. Says Holsten, “Doug Farr was our nonprofit’s second architectural partner ever! With assistance from this noted architect and urban planner, we have embarked upon our largest development endeavor to-date: the redevelopment of Lawson House, an Art Deco building erected in 1934 as a YMCA, which will be overhauled into 400 affordable apartments. Doug partnered with HHCD, intertwining various social service interests and needs to ensure we meet our mission and vision for the project. We are deeply proud to give him this award as a token of our gratitude for all his continued support of our not-for-profit agency.”
