Detroit’s Sicily’s Pizzeria Offering $3.14 Pizzas for Pi Day
Local pizzeria honors National Pi Day with $3.14 small cheese pizzas.

National Pi Day is rightfully celebrated on March 14 in observance of the mathematical constant π. To commemorate this day’s designation, Sicily’s Pizzeria, located at 3554 Vernor Hwy. in Southwest Detroit, will offer small cheese pizza pies for just $3.14.
The $3.14 small cheese pizza deal is valid for only this one day or while supplies last. Each customer is limited to one pizza under the deal. No substitutions or deletions. Pickup only.
“National Pi Day serves as a great opportunity for us to reward our loyal customers with a great deal and invite new customers to try some of our delicious pizza,” said Ali Beydoun, owner of Sicily’s Pizzeria. “I am proud to have served the Detroit community members for over 20 years and to be able to offer a great deal they deserve.”

Since 1989, Sicily’s Pizzeria has been a fixture in the community. Beydoun, a Lebanese immigrant, learned the trade from the previous owner. After six months of working at Sicily’s Pizzeria, he purchased the pizza shop and has run the shop since November 1999. The pizzeria recently was voted the best pizza place in metro Detroit from a poll organized by WXYZ-TV.
Sicily’s Pizzeria purchases all of its products in the cleanest, raw form. This means that the pizzeria uses real dough made in house daily. The flour is all natural, non-GMO, never bleached and never bromated, and Sicily’s sauce is not created with tomato paste, but rather with freshly grown tomatoes and basil.
