DETROIT — The start time to two Detroit Tigers games were changed to avoid conflicts with other events in downtown Detroit happening on the same day.

The Tigers' April 8 home game against the Boston Red Sox will now start at 4:10 p.m. instead of 1:10 p.m.

The Red Wings host the Pittsburgh Penguins at 1 p.m. on the same day in a game that might have playoff implications.

The Tigers' Aug. 5 home game against the Tampa Bay Rays will now start at 1:10 p.m. instead of 6:10 p.m.

Aug. 5 will be a busy evening in downtown Detroit, as Ford Field will host WWE Summerslam and Madonna will play the Little Caesar's Arena.
