Detroit Will Soon Start Accepting Marijuana Business Licenses Again
Officials said there are 30 licenses for marijuana retailers, ten licenses for microbusinesses and ten licenses for consumption lounges.
DETROIT — Officials will begin accepting a second round of applications for marijuana business licenses in Detroit on Aug. 1.
Officials said there are 30 licenses for marijuana retailers, ten licenses for microbusinesses and ten licenses for consumption lounges.
"Half of the recreational dispensaries we licensed in round one are majority owned by local Detroit residents and are operating and thriving, which sets us apart from many other equity programs nationwide that may have issued equity licenses but haven't actually opened many businesses," Director of Marijuana Ventures & Entrepreneurship Kim James said in a news release.
