A Detroit woman chased her boyfriend as he fled on foot, drove up on the curb and struck him and then dragged his body, prosecutor says.

DETROIT, MI — A Detroit woman accused of running down her boyfriend with her car and killing him has been charged with first-degree murder, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said Friday. Danisha L. Mathis, 20, is expected to be arraigned Friday afternoon.
Police said that around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, Mathis began chasing her boyfriend, who was running on foot, in her car in the 21000 block of Seven Mile Road. She is accused of driving up on the sidewalk at Trinity Street and Seven Mile to deliberately hit Terrance Ricks Jr., 25, of Detroit, and then dragging him under her car as she fled the scene at a high rate of speed.
