Detroit's Downtown Riverfront Fireworks Return This Summer

The Parade Company​ and Ford announced the fireworks show is scheduled for Monday night, June 27 in Downtown Detroit.

DETROIT — For the first time in two years, Detroit's riverfront fireworks will light the sky over downtown this summer, officials said Thursday.

The Parade Company and Ford announced the fireworks show is scheduled for Monday night, June 27 in Downtown Detroit. The firework spectacle is generally ranked among the largest fireworks displays in the country is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of spectators.

The beloved summer tradition will enter its 64th year and can be viewed on WDIV-Local 4’s live broadcast from the event.

"We are thrilled to bring the Ford Fireworks back to Detroit, as this event truly brings our community together and showcases the city in a special way," The Parade Company President and CEO Tony Michaels said in a statement. "Ford Motor Company’s continued support is instrumental in ensuring this show, along with other beloved Parade Company events, grow bigger and more vibrant each year for our community to enjoy."
