Detroit's Riverfront Fireworks Return + Woman Dies In Midtown Fire

  1. For the first time since the pandemic, Detroit's riverfront fireworks will light the sky over downtown on Monday. The 64th annual Ford Fireworks show, presented by the Parade Company, will take place from 9:55 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday, June 27, under the tagline "Hey Detroit! The Sky Shines for You."   2. A film about the legendary Detroit rap crew Chedda Boyz, also known as Street Lord'z, is set to premiere Friday at Bel Air Luxury Cinema on Eight Mile is "an independent film about a young man's growth and learning how to make better decisions" as he, a basketball prospect, joins the family drug trade with two cousins.   3. Woman killed in fire at Midtown Detroit apartment. Crews were called to an eight-story apartment building in the 100 block of Parsons around 4:20 a.m. for a fire in a fifth floor unit. (FOX 2 Detroit)
