Driver Shot On Highland Park Freeway
The man was shot in the back while driving eastbound on Davison near Woodward on Wednesday night.
HIGHLAND PARK, MI — Michigan State Police are investigating a freeway shooting that happened in Highland Park on Wednesday night.
Officers said a 23-year-old man was driving east on the Davison Freeway near Woodward when he was shot in the back at 10:00 p.m. He then drove himself to Detroit Receiving Hospital where he was treated for his wound, police said.
The man denied being involved in any road rage incident and stated he didn’t see anything, police said.

The freeway was shut down for an evidence search. It has since reopened, but the investigation is ongoing.
