Driver In Stolen Camaro Smashes Into Truck, Kills Man In Detroit: Cops

Police said the driver in a stolen Chevrolet Camaro ran a red light and crashed into a pickup truck, killing its driver on Detroit.

DETROIT — A 74-year-old man was killed in Detroit when someone driving a stolen Chevrolet Camaro crashed into his pickup truck, police said.

Police said a driver in a stolen Camaro ran a red light and crashed into a silver 2000 GMC Sierra pickup truck at the intersection of West McNichols and Telegraph roads on May 18 at 11:37 p.m.

After the crash, the driver in the stolen Camaro ran away on foot while the driver in the pickup truck was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died, police said.

Officers found blue sweatpants and black shoes inside the Camaro they believe was the driver's.
