Easter Weekend Forecast: Rain, Possible Snow Showers Predicted

Here's a look at the forecast to plan your holiday weekend.

DETROIT, MI — It’s Easter weekend and schedules are packed with holiday observations, brunch plans, Easter egg hunts, marshmallow drops and family time. The weather won’t be cooperating for outdoor plans though with a wind advisor in effect Saturday and snow flurries later that night into Sunday. Thankfully we start our week off with clear skies and a high near 43 degrees Monday.

Here’s a look at the forecast:

Saturday
Showers, mainly after 1 p.m. High near 51. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 8-13 mph increasing to 17-22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 41 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Saturday Night
A chance of rain and snow showers before 1 a.m., then a chance of snow showers between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., then a chance of flurries after 2 a.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 26. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 13 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 46 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday
A chance of flurries before noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 39. West wind around 10 mph.

Sunday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 25. West northwest wind 6 to 8 mph.

Monday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 43.
