Family-Owned Detroit BBQ Spot Closing Down This Weekend After 62 Years
The carryout-only restaurant is best known for ribs and chicken.
DETROIT — A popular Detroit barbecue spot is closing down this weekend after 62 years, according to multiple local reports.
Parks Old Style Bar-B-Q, located on Beaubien off Grand Boulevard, posted a sign on its door saying they will permanently close its doors after Sunday.
"We will be permanently closed after Sunday, Feb. 8," the sign reads. "Thanks for 63 years of support!!"

The carryout-only restaurant is best known for ribs and chicken, but also fried snacks like jalapeno poppers and stuffed mushrooms. They also serve sides such as greens, baked beans and green beans.
The restaurant is only accepting walk-in cash orders for its final days of business. They are open 11 a.m. to 9 Friday and Saturday and 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
