Faygo Brings Back Blue Blast From The Past to Celebrate 110th Year
Sweet! Iconic Detroit pop maker Faygo Beverage Inc. has unlocked the vault and Arctic Sun will hit grocery store shelves nationwide.

DETROIT, MI — Detroit pop maker Faygo Beverages Inc. made an announcement Monday that really is all that and a bag of chips. It’s bringing back a bright blue blast from the past, Arctic Sun, to celebrate its 110th anniversary. The cherry-grapefruit flavored pop, which has been in the Faygo vault for 25 years, will show up first at party stores and smaller grocers in the Detroit area as early as this week, then at larger retailers and across the country.
The slogan for the comeback: “It’s like totally back.” Get. Out. Of course it is. Schwing! Faygo announced the return of Arctic Sun in a Facebook Live video. “We heard your voices, we heard you want it back, so we’re going to put it back on the shelves,” a marketing team employee named Heather said in the video.

Faygo gave away some of its stash of Arctic Sun at Flower Day at the Eastern Market Sunday. In the comments, some fans of Faygo beverages pleaded with the company to bring back its pineapple-orange pop, which Faygo said it had discussed.

Someone else worried the pop from back in the day would taste like washer fluid. Don’t freak out, dude: It’s only the bottle that’s blue.
