GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A man accused of shooting at a police officer during a disturbance at a Grand Rapids fitness center early Tuesday morning has been identified as an agent for the FBI, authorities said. The Grand Rapids police sergeant responded about 1:15 a.m. to a report of a man who was allegedly brandishing a handgun and threatening customers inside Planet Fitness, 3681 28th St. SE, in Grand Rapids. The police officer was not injured, and the suspect, a 35-year-old man, was arrested at gunpoint in the parking lot. Police did not fire, and no one was injured.
