Flight Attendant Saves Honeymoon By Bringing Forgotten Passport Across The Country
"We were so touched and grateful — a renewed faith in humanity was the best wedding gift," the bride said.

DETROIT — A newlywed couple almost missed out on their honeymoon, until their special trip was saved by a quick-thinking flight attendant and several Delta employees willing to go the extra mile.
Lawryn and Joe Fellwock had just taken off on their February flight from Detroit to San Juan when Lawryn realized she forgot her passport, according to Delta. Without it, she couldn’t board her honeymoon cruise.
Fortunately, flight attendant Dusty Dills offered to get her passport from a relative if they brought it to Detroit Metro Airport, and then take it to Atlanta and hand it off to a crew member going to San Juan, according to Delta.

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Dills, in-flight service employee Katy Yates, flight attendant Jeff Mendez, and customer service workers Karla Maisonet, Juan Arroyo and Abner Ortiz, the passport made it safely to Lawryn at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Puerto Rico.
“The whole experience was surreal. Joe and I were desperate to find a way to save our honeymoon and right when we thought we were out of options, Dusty offers his personal time to help us out,” Lawryn told Delta. “We were so touched and grateful — a renewed faith in humanity was the best wedding gift.”

The Fellwocks were so moved by Dills’ kind gesture that they invited him to their wedding reception in August, according to Delta. He and Yates will attend together.
