High temperatures across southeastern Michigan will warm into the 70s Tuesday and Wednesday under sunny skies, according to the weather service.

Highs will then warm up into the 80s on Thursday across southeastern Michigan before rain moves into the region Friday, according to the weather service.

Drastically cooler air then moves into the southeastern Michigan region this weekend, pushing highs down into the 60s, the coolest temperatures the region has seen since May, according to the weather service.

Rain chances will linger into Saturday morning across southeastern Michigan, but skies should open up in the afternoon hours, according to the weather service.

Sunday should also be dry, making it a perfect evening to tailgate before the Detroit Lions open their season at Ford Field in downtown Detroit Sunday night.
