Oprah, Kamala Harris Coming To Detroit Area For Campaign Event This Week

The Office of the Vice President has not exactly said where the campaign event will take place.​

MICHIGAN — Vice President and presidential candidate Kamala Harris will be somewhere in the Detroit area Thursday for a campaign event, according to campaign officials.

Media icon Oprah Winfrey is expected to join Harris for a livestreamed rally called “United for America 2024” at 8 p.m. Thursday, according to campaign officials.

The event will be livestreamed across multiple platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitch platforms, and roughly 400 local voters will be invited to attend the discussion in person, according to The Michigan Chronicle, who first reported the online event.

"What is essential to me is getting people motivated to vote, and ensuring everyone makes a plan not only for themselves, but for their families and friends," Winfrey said in a statement.

Campaign officials have not disclosed the exact Detroit area location where the event is being held.
