DETROIT — Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz will be in Detroit Wednesday, according to campaign officials.

Harris and Walz will hold a separate campaign event in Michigan on Thursday. Details about that event have not been released.
The trip comes after the two held a rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday when Harris announced Walz as her running mate. The trip also comes on the same day Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance will visit Shelby Township.

Harris last visited Michigan on July 17, just days before President Joe Biden decided to drop out of the race and not seek re-election this year.
