High Temps Can Hit 50 Degrees Before Rain/Snow: Metro Detroit Weather

METRO DETROIT — High temperatures can hit 50 degrees in the metro Detroit area before more rain and snow showers move into the area to start next week, according to the National Weather Service.

Southwesterly winds will help push high temperatures to 48 degrees Thursday under clear sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will be even warmer in the metro area Friday when highs reach 50 degrees with clear and sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.

Although clouds will move into the metro area over the weekend, the southernly winds will help keep temperatures mild with highs staying in the upper 40s, according to the National Weather Service.

Light rain showers will move into the metro area Sunday night and linger overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters expect the rain showers to then shift into snow sometime Monday night, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasters do not expect any accumulation.
