I-94 In Detroit To Close For Bridge Work This Weekend
Construction crews will be working on bridges on Second Avenue and Grand River Avenue during the freeway closure.

DETROIT — A busy stretch of Interstate 94 leading into and out of Downtown Detroit will close Friday through the weekend, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Starting at 5 a.m. Friday, both directions of Interstate 94 will close between Interstate 75 and the Lodge Freeway (M-10), officials said.
Construction crews will then expand the Interstate 94 to between Interstate 75 and Interstate 96 at 9 p.m. Friday night through 9 p.m. Sunday, officials said.

The Interstate 94 closure will then shift back to between Interstate 75 and the Lodge Freeway on Monday morning, officials said. All lanes and ramps on Interstate 94 are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Officials said drivers on northbound and southbound Michigan 10 will have access to Interstate 94 "during daylight hours" on both Friday and Monday.

Westbound Interstate 94 traffic will be detoured to southbound Interstate 75, then to westbound Interstate 96 and back to westbound Interstate 94. Entrance ramps to westbound Interstate 94 will be closed from Mt. Elliott to John R streets, officials said.
Eastbound Interstate 94 traffic will be detoured to eastbound Interstate 96, to northbound Interstate 75 and then back to eastbound Interstate94. Entrance ramps to eastbound I-94 will be closed from 30th Street to Michigan 10, officials said.
