I-96 Lane Closures In Detroit: What To Know

DETROIT — Multiple Interstate 96 lanes in Detroit will close this weekend, officials said.

Crews will close both express and local lanes in both directions on the freeway starting Friday evening until Monday morning for bridge work, officials said.

Here are the lane closures:

• Eastbound Interstate 96 local lanes will close between Outer Drive and the Davison Freeway.
• Westbound Interstate 96 local lanes will close between the Davison Freeway and the Southfield Freeway.
• Eastbound and westbound Interstate 96 express lanes between Interstate 94 and the Southfield Freeway.

Crews will also close all entrance and exit ramps in the area, officials said. The freeway was expected to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.
