Ice Storm Forces Pistons To Postpone Wednesday's Home Game: Report

The Detroit Pistons were unable to leave the Dallas area in time because of an ice storm battering the South, according to reports.

DETROIT — The Detroit Pistons are stuck in the Dallas area due to an ice storm blasting parts of the South, forcing the team to postpone Wednesday night's home game against the Washington Wizards, according to reports.

Tip-off was scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit, but travel concerns due to the ice storm are keeping the Pistons in the Dallas area, where they lost 111-105 Monday night to the Mavericks at American Airlines Center.

More than 2,000 flights were canceled across the South due to the ice storm. The Dallas-Fort Worth area in particular, has seen sub-freezing temperatures after multiple rounds of snow and rain.
