Jackknifed Semi Truck Closes I-75 In Downtown Detroit: Police

Troopers do not know what caused the crash, but did say no other vehicles were involved win the crash and no one was hurt.​

DETROIT — The southbound lanes of Interstate 75 near Interstate 96 in downtown Detroit were closed Friday morning after a crash involving a semi truck, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers said crews were working to clear a jackknifed semi truck, which was leaking diesel fuel onto the freeway.

Troopers do not know what caused the crash, but did say no other vehicles were involved win the crash and no one was hurt.

Traffic on the freeway was being rerouted to Interstate 96.

"We are making progress with the clean up and as soon as we get a lane cleaned we will start to move the traffic stuck between 96 and the crash scene," police said.
