Detroit City Clerk Janice Winfrey appears to have fought off a challenge to secure a fifth term.

DETROIT — Detroit City Clerk Janice Winfrey appears to have fought off a challenge from Denzel McCampbell to secure a fifth term, the Detroit Free Press reports.
Winfrey received 16,858 votes to McCambell's 10,379 with 460 out of 623 precincts reporting.
