Labor Day Weekend 2022 Weather: What To Expect In MI
AccuWeather meteorologists said there's a chance for rain showers Saturday night across most of Michigan.

MICHIGAN — The weather on Labor Day Weekend, considered the last hurrah of summer, will still have a summer feel in Michigan before the holiday is over, according to AccuWeather.
Before a cooler air mass sweeps down from Canada, forecasters expect Michigan to see temperatures possibly reaching 90s degrees. The cooler air mass, however, could set the stage for rain showers.
“The unseasonably warm, humid air in place early this week can set the stage for a dramatic clash of air masses,” AccuWeather Meteorologist Mary Gilbert said on the private weather company’s website.

Comfortable air begins setting in on Sunday across Michigan, including the metro Detroit area, keeping temperatures in the low 80s under clear and sunny skies, AccuWeather meteorologists said.
Labor Day Monday will also see temperatures in the low 80s under clear and sunny skies, as rain showers should stay south of Michigan, AccuWeather meteorologists said.
As it moves across the country, the cold front is expected to trigger severe thunderstorms from the Plains to the Midwest before moving into the interior Northeast, much of the Appalachians and the mid-Atlantic states.
By Thursday, most of the eastern half of the country should be experiencing temperatures in the 80s that are more typical of late summer and early fall, according to the forecast.
AccuWeather said the cooler Labor Day Weekend weather forecast is merely a reprieve from the heat and humidity. AccuWeather’s fall 2022 forecast calls for a warmer-than-normal start to autumn.
