No Injuries After Fire At Building On Wayne State University Campus In Detroit

It was still immediately unclear what caused the fire or how much damage was done.

DETROIT — Detroit fire crews put out a fire at a historic building on the campus of Wayne State University on Wednesday, according to university officials.

Video posted to social media showed a massive plume of smoke coming from the Maccabees Building, located along Woodward Avenue near Warren Road in Detroit's Midtown neighborhood.

Officials with Wayne State University said the building was evacuated and the fire was contained to the 11th floor.
