Lions Battle Packers For Division Lead Thursday Night: Here's How To Watch

DETROIT — The Detroit Lions return to Lambeau Field Thursday night to battle the Green Bay Packers for the division lead a quarter way through the season.

Although Thursday Night Football games are exclusively streamed on Amazon, fans in the Metro Detroit area will be able to see the game for free on Fox 2 Detroit (channel 2). You can watch it on cable, satellite, over-the-air antenna, YouTube TV, or any other pay-for-streaming service for free, with no Amazon subscription required.

Coverage starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday with Lions Gameday Live with opening kick at 8 p.m.

Both teams enter the game 2-1, tied for the NFC North lead after impressive victories last Sunday. The Lions head the Atlanta Falcons to just six points en route to a 20-6 win, while the Packers comeback from a 17-0 deficit in the court quarter to defeat the New Orleans Saints 18-17.

The last time the Lions went into Lambeau Field in January, they defeated the Packers 20-16 and prevented them from the playoffs. It was Aaron Rodgers' last game as a Packer, and his last throw as a Packer was intercepted by Lions defensive back Kerby Joseph.

This time, the Lions will face Packers first-year starting quarterback Jordan Love, who has looked impressive at times so far this season. Love orchestrated the comeback win over the Saints by playing outstanding football in the fourth quarter, rushing for one touchdown and throwing for another.

Meanwhile, Lions quarterback Jared Goff went 22-of-33 with a touchdown and an interception in the Lions' tough win over the physical Atlanta Falcons. The Lions defense held the Falcons run game and emerging superstar running back Bijan Robinson in check, and didn't allow a single touchdown in the win.
