Man Fatally Shot At Eastern Market

DETROIT, MI — One man is dead after a scuffle at Eastern Market Wednesday morning, according to media reports. Fox2 reported that a meat delivery driver returned from a business to find two men trying to rob the truck and a fight ensued.

One of the men was armed with a box cutter and the driver, a CPL holder, allegedly shot one of the suspects, fatally wounded him, the report said. The driver was also reportedly shot, but suffered a non-fatal wound to his leg only. It is unclear how he was shot.

The meat company is reportedly based out of Ypsilanti.
