Meet an “Amazing” Whose Passion for Basketball Keeps Going

Dick Lane, age 87, loves basketball so much, that he put his considerable skills as a retired CEO hospital administrator and Air Force Vet to work and created the 85+ age division for men’s basketball in the 2017 National Senior Games.

Dick’s clearly saw the benefits of basketball during his hospital admin days, when he brought together doctors and hospital employees to play basketball together for health and fun. He’s played with teams all over Michigan in Senior Olympics, a consistent medal winner--including a Silver Medal in 2015--and is having the time of his life. He believes that if you can find an exercise you enjoy, it’s pure dynamite!
