Metro Detroit Fall Festivals: Pumpkin Carving, Beer Festivals And More
Get your autumn off to a festive start, and check out Metro Detroit's fall festivals.

METRO DETROIT — As the calendar flips to September, it's time for fall festivals, food trucks, pumpkin patches and more autumn-themed fun.
From live music to food to pumpkin spice beverages, Metro Detroit will have no shortage of festivals for residents to enjoy in the coming months. Here's a look at what is planned across the Metro Detroit area during autumn:
Detroit Harvest Fest and Food Truck Rally: The festival will be held on Oct. 1 and 2 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Dequindre Cut Greenway in downtown Detroit. The festival features over 60 food trucks, six music stages and fun Harvest Fest Activities for the whole family. Admission is $5 at the gate and free for children under 3.

Detroit Beer Festival: The festival will be held on Oct. 22 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Eastern Market in Detroit. One of the largest all-Michigan beer tastings with over 1,000 craft beers from 120 Michigan breweries, plus food from area restaurants, all served up at Eastern Market.
Pumpkin Carving in Downtown Dearborn: The pumpkin carving activities will be held on Oct. 29 at Wagner Park in West Downtown Dearborn from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and East Downtown Dearborn City Hall Park from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Michigan Fall Fest 2022 Lake Orion: The festival is Sept. 24 and 25 On the grounds of Canterbury Village located behind Canterbury Castle. Welcome fall with fresh cider and donuts from Yates Cider Mill, classic kids games throughout the weekend including Pumpkin bowling and Pumpkin tic-tac-toe. Special performance on Sunday by Clark Lewis Juggling Stunt Show. Lots of other activities like Hay Bale Pyramid, Pumpkin Decorating, bounce houses, petting zoo and more.
Northville Heritage Festival: The festival runs from Sept. 16-18 in downtown Northville. Enjoy programming from students of local schools, a Victorian Saloon (beer tent), non-profit booths, kids zone, parade, pancake breakfast, car show, craft booths, the historical Ford valve plant tours, horse and carriage tours, vintage baseball, street entertainment and more.
Ferndale Fall Festival 2022: The festival will take place on Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Activity Center at Ferndale’s Martin Road Park, located at 1615 E Lewiston Ave. The festival will feature face painting, pony rides, roller skating, food for sale, hayrides, photo booth, climbing wall, a trick-or-treat trail.
Plymouth Fall Festival 2022: The festival will be held in downtown Plymouth from Sept. 9-11 and features live music, carnival rides, car show, bingo, chicken BBQ, spaghetti dinner, pancake breakfast and more. The festivals opens Friday at noon until 10 p.m. Saturday 7 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm Presents: Stone Wall Pumpkin Festival: The festival is Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, located at 1005 Van Hoosen Road. Daytime activities include food, pumpkin bowling, live entertainment, crafts, Yates Cider Mill cider and donuts. There is also pumpkin carving and an evening lighting of the pumpkins runs from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Troy Family Daze: The festival runs from Sept. 15-18 at the Troy Civic Center, located at 500 W Big Beaver Rd, and features free entertainment, a giant midway, talent shows, food and community booths, children’s crafts/games/entertainment area, fireworks and more.
