Some of the highest totals were in Macomb and Oakland counties, where the Eastpointe and Washington areas got at least 6 inches of fresh snow. Farmington Hills and Huntington Woods got at least 5 inches of snow, the National Weather Service said. Other areas in Oakland County saw slightly less snow, such as Wixom and Beverly Hills, who measured around 4 inches of snow. Southfield and Troy saw ended up with 3 inches of fresh snow in Thursday's snowstorm, the National Weather Service said. Thursday's snowstorm spared some areas in Wayne County the most, including Romulus, that only saw a little more than 2 inches of snow. Other areas around Garden City saw around 4 inches of snow, the National Weather Service said.
