Metro Detroit Traffic: Snow Causes Multiple Freeway Crashes
No serious injuries were reported in any of the crashes by state officials.

METRO DETROIT — There were multiple crashes on metro Detroit freeways Friday morning due to slick roads from light snow showers, state officials reported.
There were pileups on westbound Interstate 96 near Beech Daly and Telegraph roads Friday morning. A Michigan State Police cruiser was involved in the crash near Telegraph Road, where the officer was pinned in the car between other vehicles. No injuries were reported in the crashes by officials.
There was also a spin out crash on southbound Interstate 75 just after the Davison Freeway, where several lanes were blocked from the crash. No injuries were reported by officials.

A crash on northbound Interstate 275 at Ecorse Road closed the right lane on the freeway, leaving just one lane open, as multiple lanes were already closed due to construction on the freeway. No injuries were reported by officials.
State troopers urged metro Detroiters to use caution when driving on the slippery roads, as snow is expected to continue falling throughout Friday morning.
